About

I am an assistant professor in the Education Program at the University of Washington Bothell. I am a learning scientist working at the intersection of learning sciences, science education, and teacher education. I teach courses elementary and secondary science methods and equity in math and science education. My research revolves around understanding how to take youths’ cultured lives into account in the design of classroom curriculum from elementary to high school.
